Mexico, Part one of many

This vacation was an interesting. Filled with lots of "Adventures" such as saying "No gracias" about a thousand times to a various amount of vendors, to walking more than a mile all through a hot town, in flip-flops, to go to a mediocre restaurant. There were many ups and downs and surprises. I surprised myself by reading five books in ten days, and God surprised me by making my faith foundation even stronger. I encourage everyone to go to Mexico at least once in your life time. Whether for vacation, or a mission trip, or to visit your family, or just for the chocolate milkshakes at burger king. (Best milkshake I've ever had.) My family decided it was a good experience but we'd only like to go once. As a vacation, it was not the most relaxing, but it did teach me many things. It taught me that not everything is the same as I've grown up with. People in Mexico face a whole different set of challenges when they grow up than we do in the U.S. It's absolutely gorgeous there and I think I've talked just enough about. how about I start posting those pictures now, huh?

The airport at home. We had to leave the house in the
mere hours of darkness, even before my good friend Mr. Sun was up.

Messing around with my editing program and made this
to only later realize I took this picture in America, not Mexico XD

Aren't these clouds just so hipster? Lol but no seriously
I am getting tired of hipster-ness being a thing.

I lift my eyes up to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2

My sister thought this was a photo of the beach! Haha

Mexican mountains. The first thing I saw in Mexico, man they
took my breath away. I felt so small and I was just awe-struck
at how good God is and He truly cares about each of His creations. Including me.

Okay, this photo was accidental. I was actually trying to
avoid the power-line-tower-thing but it actually turned out really good.

Cactus!!! I am not sure why, but as soon as I saw my first cactus I got very, very excited lol ;)

I'm aware all these pictures start looking the same after a while,
but I can't bring myself to delete any of the memories.

awwwwww

The sunset was even more breath taking in person.
Wish I could send the real thing to everyone here at home so they could see it first hand.

Hotel lights for holiday-hype that we were missing from back at home.

This was our first hotel, as I was sitting on the deck one day I looked across
my deck to the building in this picture. up on the top floor on one of the walls
I saw a tarantula, or so I thought. The spider stayed there for the next few days and eventually
I was convinced it was just a decoration and I was able to relax a bit. I never saw a real
tarantula or scorpion, thank you Madi, and Dasha who both looked up what to do if
I ever did come across the real thing. (I had no wifi)

House keeping was very kind, and made us lots of creatures and beautiful arrangements.

La luna

Blue one!

1960s style

Oh the abundance of palm trees

The water is so blue in Mexico! It reminded me of blue jello. you know, the really bright blue kind! It was exactly that color in some places.

Hope you enjoyed! Lots more to come, I have more editing to do but I am excited to post the rest. I got some amazing pictures of the beach at sunset that are just gorgeous!
